Women, doubly vulnerable

The female gender is one of the groups that suffers the most violence and segregation in the country. According to the 2017 National Census, 57% of disabled people are women and with this, discrimination is accentuated. Between 2016 and 2018, more than 5 thousand cases of attacks on this population were recorded according to information from the Women's Emergency Centers (CEM).
